FFL in taiwan! (Thursday, September 16, 2010 / 12:41 PM)
okie, enough for the previous ranting post. i shall blog about my taiwan trip while my memories are still fresh! (err, not that fresh already, it has been 1 month plus hehehe)
Hello malaysia! (yelling from taiwan!)
taken in Tainan or Kaotsiung? cnt remember! =)
FFL - Friends Food and Life in Taiwan!
in the long list of the places that i always want to go, is
Taiwan!
Taiwan, a unique country with friendly people, easy access of transportation and not to forget their renowned food! do u realize that u see Taiwanese sausages, Taiwanese bubble tea, Taiwanese ice dessert everywhere in Malaysia? even have franchise! like Shilin street food, Snowflake and etc.
so, the Taiwan trip was satisfying! although i spent most of the time in the seminar, and in the bus, I was still very glad im blessed with the chance to go Taiwan, and gave me some kind of culture shock!
Friends.
I met lotsa friends there! friends from Taiwan, China, Hongkong, US, Portugal, Australia and many more! and hey, we should really not stereotype people from China and Taiwan. they impressed me with their good command in English! i have a China friend, a soon-to-be doctor, she speaks English with UK accent, and she's damn pretty omg! it made me feel like nothing over there.
haha, i met one girl, who look like me, and share something in common too! we HATE kids! =) ohhh pei chian me miss u!!!!!
my groupmates (friends from all over the world)
we cherished the moment we had together.
We had a great time together!
We left our footprints everywhere!
and yeah, we shopped together in Taiwan night market, and Wu Fen Pu too! their clothes, bags, shoes and even accessories are so cheap, and up to date! my friends said i have become a different person when come to shopping! why all their stuff so adorable wan? somemore so cheap after convert to malaysia ringgit! i bought a pair of heels, which usually cost RM90+ in Malaysia at $400, that's RM40!
shopping spree is a must! and why most of the Taiwanese so prettie wan, is it because of their air?
Food.
I tell u, food in Taiwan is just plain
awesome. so many choices, so many people, and long queue. basically i ate vegetarian food 70% of the whole journey, a Buddhist seminar ma. but the last two days in Taiwan, i managed to visit their infamous night market, especially Shilin night market i totally went crazie!!!!
if u know me well, u know how much i devote ice dessert.
and Taiwan, a heaven for ice dessert! i think my past life must be a Taiwanese, that explains my weid obsession in ice dessert!
mango snowflake ice, sooo fresshh their mango!
green tea red bean. okie, i don't really fancy this, coz i dislike red beans!
mua favorite! caramel and their homemade maple (maple? yeah maple.) syrup!
oh gosh this is like the best among ALL ice desert i ate before!
snowflake, BR, similu, everything in malaysia lose d!!!
i would fly to taiwan again, just for this! yummmzzzz can die!
on nomm nommm...
fermented toufu. direct translation will be "smelly toufu"
hehe, see the kimchi on top of toufu? it added texture into the toufu, and made it so crispy! yummm
Life.
it's actually a seminar on life education. sounds bored? yeah i thought so initially. but indeed, life education should be part of the life. it made me ponder, what is life? and how should u live ur life fully? what is ur goal? and how are u gonna achieve it?
to be honest, i haven't find my goal yet. as in, the dream goal, the ultimate goal. i just wana get a job in wedding planning, or event planning company. if possible i wana get a master in psychology, to become a marriage and family therapist. get some money, financially support my siblings in their tertiary education, and that's it. is that a fulfilled life? i don't know.
besides, i also know that, death, is not the final destination. it is actually a terminal, to transcend us from one life, to another. birth, live and death. it's a circle. just to imagine that u're a candle. u burn urself throughout ur whole life, u may ignite some sparks in ur life. and when u're dead/ burned, u're not completely diminished. u'll be remembered, maybe commemorated. and then, u carry on ur next life, proceed into the same cycle.
live like a candle!
we are not living alone. we are living in a mutual living environment with other things, animals, plants, air and etc. we might find people identical to u. we are dependent on each other. life doesn't stop or move on just because of one person.
we are dependent on each other.
so, Taiwan trip had taught me, to open my eyes. to try anything that i've never tried before. to accept what had happened. things come and go. our life is just a terminal, a temporal train station. when the time goes up, we need to move on to the next station. Therefore, appreciate every moment u have now. this is truly important. whining, mourning or any depressive things are just wasting our precious time.
u only live once. so, live ur life to the fullest. =)
KK trip coming up next. stay tuned. love me. xoxo.
